Linda Elizabeth Little Bratton died Monday December 2, 2024.
Her funeral and interment will be 2pm Saturday December 7th at Church of the Heavenly Rest Episcopal 602 Meander St.
Linda was born January 24, 1942, at Hendrick Hospital to J.T. and Cleora Little. Linda attended College Heights Elementary, North Jr High and graduated from Abilene High School in 1960.
Linda received Bachelors and Master of Music Degrees from Hardin-Simmons University where she met her husband, Conrad. They were married on August 22, 1964. After getting married, they taught for one year in Kileen, Texas before returning to Abilene. For the next 41 years Linda taught Orchestra at several different AISD campuses. From 1966 to 1980 Linda played violin with the Abilene Philharmonic and She was co-founder of The Cooper Fiddlers.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents, J.T. and Cleora Little, brother, Preston Little, husband, Conrad Bratton, nephew, Jon Little and cousins Gene Welborn, William Welborn and Arlene Curtis, and her best friend Bobbie Sumerlin.
Linda is survived by her son, James Bratton, niece, Cindy Little, great niece Jennifer and her children and great nephews, Michal, his children and Matt. Cousins Patsy Welborn, JoAnne and Tommy Green, her dear friend Madlyn Mitchell, her daughter, Tajette and Linda's little Maddy.
James would like to extend a thank you to her kind caretakers from Kinder Hearts who took such loving care of Mom in her last year.
James would also like to thank Trisha, Mom's medical Guardian who advocated so very well for mom's care.
Lastly, thank you to Alpha and Omega Hospice, who did not know mom for long but took such great care of her.
