Leo Clarence Bradley, 82, died Friday, November 16, 2012 at an Abilene nursing center.
The son of Uta Viola (Wright) and Clarence Bradley, Leo was born on December 2, 1929 in Lone Wolf, Oklahoma and graduated from Hobart High School. He was a U.S. Army Veteran, having served during the Korean Conflict. In 1969 he moved from Lawton, OK to Abilene, where he worked in auto sales for Arrow Ford from 1969 to 1996. He was a member of the Church of Christ.
Leo married June Marie Cagle on October 28, 1950. He loved his family and spending time with his grandkids. Other pastimes Leo loved included gardening and raising doves and bunnies. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, and a member of the Ford 500 Club.
Leo was preceded in death by his wife, June Cagle Bradley on January 6, 1998; grandson, Matthew El-Attrache; parents; and sisters, Verna Pearl Shriner and Pauline Moran.
Survivors include his son, Brad Bradley and wife Judy of Abilene; daughter, Liz El-Attrache and husband Lawrence of Abilene; and grandchildren, Brian, Daniel, Ethan and Summer. Leo is also survived by his brother, Buster Bradley and wife Joyce of Mansfield, TX; sister, Sue Vinson of Lawton, OK; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, November 19, at The Hamil Family Funeral Home Chapel, 6449 Buffalo Gap Road in Abilene, with Pastor Ryan Strebeck officiating. Interment will follow in Elliott-Hamil Garden of Memories Cemetery with military honors. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Lawrence El-Attrache, Ethan El-Attrache, Daniel Bradley, Brian Bradley, Al Cagle, Shad Phillips and Jeff Phillips.
