Our dad and husband was the sweetest man and would give anyone the shirt off of his back. He was such a hard worker and a Journeyman electrician most of his working life. Leland was also a deacon at Crescent Heights Baptist Church. He joined the Air Force in 1956 and was honorably discharged in 1960 and was also in the Navy Reserves until 1971.
He married Madeline Clark on June 15, 1957, and they had been married for 67 years at the time of his death.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Anna Mae Parish, his father, Robert Parish and his three brothers.
He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Madeline, his daughters, Kim Cummings (Chris), Brandi Moreno (Rob), and his sons Leland Parish, Jr., and Brad Parish (Debra). His grandchildren Cameron Cummings, Jansen Moreno (Haylee), Jordan Moreno, Garrett Parish (Haley) and Katy Parish. Great grandchildren Dustin and Jesse Cummings, Lakeyn, Everly and Owen Moreno. Sisters Doris Savage (Bob) and Jene Terrell.
The family of Leland would like to extend our sincere thanks to the VA Home Health Care and Hendrick Hospice. Special thanks to Heather Bailey, VA Nurse, and Iesha LeFlore of Hendrick Hospice for the loving care they gave our sweet dad and husband.
We will forever miss him but know he is rejoicing in heaven for all eternity.
Revelation 21:4
