Leatha Alice' Farrington

Leatha Farrington passed away Sunday, September 3, 2017.  She was 82 years old.  A graveside service will be held at 10:00 am on Wednesday, September 6, 2017 Elmwood Memorial Park followed by a memorial service at 11:00 am at Pioneer Drive Baptist Church. Brother Jack Ridlehoover, Rev. Stan Allcorn and Dr. Jeff Reid will officiate.   Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 pm on Tuesday, September 5th  at The Hamil Family Funeral Home, 6449 Buffalo Gap Road.

Leatha Alice’ Farrington was born February 11, 1935 in Goldthwaite, Texas to Lloyd and Alta Reynolds. She attended McMurry University and was on various committees and boards a Pioneer Drive Baptist Church, Hendrick Medical Center and the Taylor County Expo.

Leatha married Jimmy Farrington on January 27, 1957.  He preceded her in death in 1994.  She was a member of Pioneer Drive Baptist Church for over 50 years where she taught 4 year old Sunday School Class.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy Farrington and four brothers, Walter Cline Reynolds, Noel Reynolds, Harold Reynolds and Burl Reynolds.

Leatha is survived by her daughters, Pamela Farrington of Dallas, Pennye Oliver and husband Donnie of Hawley; three granddaughters, Kimery Oliver, and Kate and Claire Farrington; one sister, Marie Boggess of Waco; and four brothers, Melvin Reynolds of Gilmer, Jackie Reynolds of Abilene, Charles Reynolds of Arlington and Earl Wayne Reynolds of Goldthwaite.

Pallbearers will be Doug Reynolds, Chuck Reynolds, Mel Reynolds, Brad Reynolds, Jimmy Boggess, and Glenn Knowles.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hendrick Hospice Care or Pioneer Drive Baptist Church.
