Larry Wayman Cook

Larry Wayman Cook, age 69, of Anson, Texas, passed away Thursday April 12, 2018 in Abilene, Texas. Larry was born December 14, 1948 in Anson, Texas to Paul J. and Lillie A. (Rister) Cook. He served in the US Navy aboard the USS Vesole DD-878. Larry was a member of the Anson Golf Club and a resident of Anson most of his life. He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, Paul Ray Cook, J.P. Cook and Glenn Cook, and three sisters, Nora Cook, Flo Vinson and Myra Pilson. Survivors include three sons, Shane and wife Tina of Abilene, Jason and Glenn of Anson; one daughter, Frankie Denise Nipp of Anson; one sister, Becky Marshal and husband Charles of Irving, TX; one granddaughter, Rebecca Hart and one great granddaughter, Mercedes Rivera. Arrangements are being made by The Hamil Family Funeral Home, 6449 Buffalo Gap Road, Abilene. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
