LaDonna Johnson, 70, of Abilene, passed away Friday, December 26, 2008. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, January 2, 2009 at The Hamil Family Funeral Home, 6449 Buffalo Gap Road. July 16, 1938, LaDonna was born in Arlington, Iowa to Merrill Smith and Margaret (Stephens) Smith. She attended Boise Junior College and Middlesex Junior College. She married Clifton Dale Johnson September 1, 1957 in Boise, Idaho. LaDonna moved from Arcadia, California to Abilene in September of 2000. LaDonna's parents preceded her in death. She survived by her husband, Clifton Johnson, of Abilene; one son, Daniel Johnson and his wife Urvashi, of Mountain House, California; one daughter, Anita Schnier and her husband Darren Morgan, of Abilene; two sisters, Joan Wasko and her husband Eddie, of Oceanside, California, Marilyn Burkhart and her husband Ron, of Oelwein, Iowa; three grandchildren, Amanda Schnier, of Abilene, Karishma and Mahima Johnson, both of Mountain House, California; as well as several nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, the family requests green plants, since LaDonna was cremated. Otherwise memorials may be made in her honor to the Parkinson's Disease Foundation, 1359 Broadway, Suite 1509, New York, New York, 10018 or to Hospice of the Big Country, 4601 Hartford, Abilene, Texas 79605.
