L. Glenn Cummins, 53, of Abilene died Thursday, March 1, 2012 at his residence.
Born in Abilene, Texas on September 2, 1958, Glenn was the son of Betty Jo (Chambers) and John O. Cummins, II. He was a lifelong resident of Abilene, having graduated from both Abilene Christian High School and Hardin-Simmons University. Glenn worked for Taylor County as a computer technician. He also was a volunteer with the Potosi Volunteer Fire Department and a member of the HAM Radio Operators Club.
Glenn was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his brother, John Cummins and wife Joyce of Abilene; sister, Susan Cummins of Abilene; nephews, Bud Ohliger and wife Kristal of Abilene, and Randy Ohliger of League City, Texas; niece, Emma Cummins of Abilene; great-niece, Lilee Ohliger of Abilene; aunt , Elizabeth Ann "Betty" Cummins of Abilene; and second cousin, Anne St. Raymond of Redlands, California.
Graveside services will be 11:30 a.m. Monday, March 5, in Elmwood Memorial Park with Pastor Chip Sugar officiating, directed by The Hamil Family Funeral Home, 6449 Buffalo Gap Rd. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Members of the Potosi Volunteer Fire Department will be honorary pallbearers.
