L.C. Hollis, 78 of Hodges, passed away on April 19, 2016 at his home in Hodges. Funeral services will be held 3:00 P.M. Saturday, April 23rd at the Hodges Baptist Church with Pastor Eddie Trice officiating. Burial will follow at the Midway Cemetery. Arrangements are by The Hamil Family Funeral Home, 6449 Buffalo Gap Road, Abilene.
L.C. was born in Abilene, TX to Lawrence & Ethel Hollis on February 14, 1938. He graduated from Hawley High School. He married Sandra Vaughn on May 25, 1963 in Hodges. He worked for Texas Highway Department for 32 years. He served and retired in the Army Reserve and The National Guard. After retirement, L.C. became self-employed.
L.C. was a faithful servant and Christian believer. He shared his love for the Lord with his family and others. L.C. loved his family and wad adored and admired by each of them.
L.C. was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Weston Hollis.
He is survived by his wife Sandra Hollis, son Brandon Hollis, daughter Courtney Hollis and son-in-law Gabe Marez. Grandchildren: Sallie Driffil, Peyton Parker and Preslee Marez. Four great grandchildren and his beloved dog Cookie.
