Krystal Lynn Young

Krystal Lynn Young, 26, of Abilene passed away Sunday, January 25, 2009 at Abilene Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be at 2:00 pm Thursday, January 29th at Broadview Baptist Church located at 2500 South 27th Street. Burial will immediately follow at Elmwood Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 5:30 – 7:30 pm on Wednesday, January 28th at the Hamil Family Funeral Home located at 6449 Buffalo Gap Road. Krystal was born on April 12, 1982 in Abilene, Texas. She graduated from Cooper High School and attended Cisco Junior College. Krystal loved all animals, music, her friends and above all else her family. Krystal is survived by her father and stepmother, Lowell and Johnna Young of Tuscola; her mother, Sharon Young of Abilene; one brother, Christopher Young and one sister, Jessica Young, both of Abilene; two stepsisters, Shantel Rodriguez of Tuscola and Tori and her husband Brady Lackey of Bridgeport, Texas. Her maternal grandparents, Terrell and Mary Jane Coker, of Abilene, and paternal grandfather, Bert Young, of Tuscola, also survive her. Her paternal grandmother, Floy Young, precedes her in death. Pallbearers will be Robert Howard, Cody Hubbard, John Jimenez, David Phillips, Nathan Todd and Clayton Underwood The family is requesting that memorials be sent to the National Jewish Medical and Research Center, 1400 Jackson Street, Denver, CO 80206-2761.
