Kevin Brock Latham

Kevin Brock Latham, 4, went home to be with Jesus on Sunday, October 15, 2006 at his home with his family by his side. The family will receive friends during a visitation on Tuesday, October 17 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at The Hamil Family Funeral Home, 6449 Buffalo Gap Road. Funeral services will be on Wednesday at 1:00 p.m. at Beltway Baptist Church, with David McQueen officiating. Burial will follow in Elmwood Memorial Park. Even at an early age Brock lived life with passion. He loved football and watching the Throckmorton Greyhounds with his daddy; the team dedicated their 2005 season to Brock. He loved to fish and ride in the golf cart. He adored his sisters, watching movies and being read to. Brock was blessed to have been intimately cared for at home this past year by his loving and dedicated parents who ensured that Brock had every opportunity to truly enjoy his short life. Brock was tenderly cared for by his loving grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, family and dedicated friends. He was also blessed to have had wonderful care from countless doctors, nurses and aides. His battle with cancer did not slow Brock down or keep him from enjoying the things he loved. He was an independent, determined and strong-willed boy whose life could not be stopped by a tumor. During his 4 years of life, Brock impacted the lives of countless people. His story touched hearts across Texas and the United States and his legacy will live for eternity in those who have come to know the love of Jesus because of Brock's journey of life and death. Brock knew the love of Jesus and was comforted during his battle by scriptures from the Word of God and it is the prayer of the Latham family that those who hear Brock's story will personally know the love of Jesus in their lives as well. Brock is survived by his loving parents, Kevin and Barbara Latham, big sisters Bree, Keeley, and Madison Latham. Great Grandparents Carlos and Pilar Barradas, and Betty Hill. Grandparents Kenneth and Valene Latham, Darell and Linda Hill, Nickie and Ron Robson. Aunts and Uncles. Dow and Karen, Wes and Kacy Latham, Scott and Sandy, Todd and Kerri Hill. Cousins Collin, Cooper, Samantha, Ethan, Lauren, Avery, and Kyson. We love you and will miss you. What an awesome blessing you were and will continue to be in our lives and the lives of those who knew you.
