Ken "Bruno" Bryant, 78, passed away Thursday, August 24, 2023, in Abilene. He was born on June 5, 1945, in Ranger, TX to Millard and Juanita Bryant.
Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 pm on Saturday, September 2, at The Hamil Family Funeral Home, 6449 Buffalo Gap Rd. Funeral service will be held at 10:00 am on Sunday, September 3, at the funeral home, followed by burial at Potosi Cemetery.
Ken graduated from Kermit High School in 1964, and married Sharon (Hammitt) Bryant on April 17, 1965, in Kermit. They were married for nearly 58 years until her passing in January 2023. During his time in high school, he was known for his love of drag racing. He went on to study Radiography at the Winkler County School of Radiology, and he worked as a CT Technician at Harris Methodist; he also owned Top Techs, a staffing agency for X-Ray Technicians. Later, Ken worked as a Real Estate Broker, and owned Bryant Realtors in the early 1980s. When he wasn't working, Ken enjoyed golfing and volunteering at the Abilene State Supported Living Center for their holiday celebrations. Ken was an avid football fan, particularly supporting the Dallas Cowboys, Wylie Bulldogs, and Stephenville Yellowjackets.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Sharon Bryant, and brothers Cecil and Keith Bryant.
Ken is survived by his daughters, Melanie Mobley (John Mark), Michele Bryant, Melissa Cortez (David), and Heather Brink (Richard), as well as four grandchildren, Tiffany Young, Aron Weathermon, Jeremiah Cortez, and Jonah Cortez.
