Kathleen Pulliam, 80, died Monday, September 14, 2009, at her residence in Abilene, Texas.
The daughter of Thelma (Blodgett) and John E. Kenney, Kathleen was born on November 8, 1928, in Spearman, Texas. She married O. A. "Slick" Pulliam on October 9, 1970, in Clayton, New Mexico, and in 1971 moved from Perryton, Texas to Abilene. She was a homemaker and had worked previously as a cosmotologist-beautician in Abilene. Kathleen was an avid bowler.
Her parents; brother, J.M. Kenney; and granddaughter, Ladonna Duncan, preceded her in death.
Kathleen is survived by her husband, O. A. "Slick" Pulliam of Abilene; son, Allen Pulliam and wife, Carol, of Corpus Christi; four daughters, Ramona Duncan and husband, Jack, of Abilene, and Sherrel Barber, Denise Morrow, and Tammy Flaming, all of Perryton; sister-in-law, Deanna Kenney of Spearman; ten grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; two nephews and one niece.
Her funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 16, in The Hamil Family Funeral Home Chapel, 6449 Buffalo Gap Road in Abilene. A graveside service will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, September 17, in Ochiltree Cemetery in Perryton, Texas. The family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, September 15, at the funeral home in Abilene.
