Karyl Rister

Born in Crossville, Alabama to Michael and Artie Black Hinkle on June 29, 1929. Karyl passed from this life on May 1, 2024.

Karyl moved to Texas in 1944. She attended Edgewood High School and Fox High. She went to work with SW Bell and retired in 1983.

Karyl married her wonderful husband, Bill, in February 1977. They moved to Abilene in 1988.

She is preceded in death by her parents, 3 brothers: Woodrow Hinkle, Willard and wife Velma Hinkle, and Malcolm Hinkle.

Karyl is survived by her husband, William (Bill) Rister, daughter Cassandra Wong and husband Russell of Anna, TX, son Gary Schweikert and wife Lidia of San Antonio, son Randy Rister and wife, Viva of Childress, and son Lonnie Rister and wife Christi of Lubbock, 11 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
