Kandis Raye Villalovas

Kandis Raye Villalovas, 38, of Abilene, passed away on November 7, 2015 in Abilene. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Thursday, November 12, 2015 at The Hamil Family Funeral Home, 6449 Buffalo Gap Road in Abilene. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, November 13, at Beltway Park Church Chapel, 4009 Beltway South, with Joel Wood and Rey Sandoval officiating. Burial will follow in Elmwood Memorial Park. Arrangements are by The Hamil Family Funeral Home. Kandis was born in Abilene, Texas to Ruben and Dixie Suniga on March 14, 1977. She attended school in Abilene and graduated from Abilene High School. She married Joe Villalovas on March 28, 1997 at Living Life Temple in Abilene. Kandis and her husband started J.V. Construction in 2000 and a few years later in 2006 she began contracting houses as Artisan Homes. Kandis was a beautiful woman inside and out. Selfless and kind hearted, she always put others before herself. Always smiling, she never let anything get her down. She loved going out dancing, traveling, and living life to the fullest. She was very family oriented and loved spending time with her grandmother. Her pride and joy were her kids and granddaughter. She will be very missed by her cat Miley. She will always be in our hearts and her memories will be cherished for a lifetime. Kandis was preceded in death by maternal great grandparents Raymond and Evena Liddell and paternal grandparents John and Carmen Suniga. Kandis is survived by Joe Villalovas, her children Adrianna Villalovas and Jonathan Villalovas, parents Ruben Suniga and wife Susan, and Dixie Suniga-Mendez and husband Jimmy, grandmother Rebecca Young, sister Kendra Perez and husband Bruno, and half-brother Juan Suniga, nephew Jacob Perez and nieces Rebecca and Micaela Perez, and her granddaughter Blaire Phoenix Durham. Pallbearers will be Jimmy Mendez, Jacob Perez, Bruno Perez, Tony Temple, Cody Durham, and Jesse Villalovas. The family of Kandis Villalovas wishes to extend our sincere thanks to Abilene Fire Department, Abilene Police Department, and to all friends of the family who helped us in this hard time.
