Jumple "Kay" Kayed

Jumple "Kay" Kayed, 52, of Abilene, passed away on January 21, 2024, at Hendrick Hospice Care surrounded by many of her loved ones.

Visitation will be Thursday, January 25, 2024, from 6:00 to 8:00 pm, at The Hamil Family Funeral Home, 6449 Buffalo Gap Road.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm, Friday, January 26, 2024, at The Hamil Family Funeral Home, with Chaplain David Stevens officiating. Burial will follow at Elmwood Memorial Park.

Kay, born on May 16, 1971, was a beloved mother and fiancée who dedicated her life to her family. As the youngest daughter of her family, Kay always lived life with so much spark. She loved our Lord, jazz music, and all things glamorous. Many know her from her successful salon where she poured all her love into it and always had her customers' needs and safety as her highest priority regardless of where she worked resulting in making lifelong friendships.

Kay was preceded in death by her mother Liên Thị Nguyễn and father Kayed Al Obaidi

Kay is survived by her three brothers and four sisters, her Fiancé Henrik Hjortshoej, her three children Lara and her husband Eziquio, Adam and girlfriend Brooklynne, Victoria, and her granddaughter Scarlette.

The family of Jumple "Kay" Kayed wishes to extend our most sincere thanks to her oncologist Dr. Velasco, palliative care Dr. Farrell, all of the Chaplains who came any time we called, as well as the kindest CNA, RN, staff, and volunteers at Hendrick Cancer Center, Hendrick Hospital, and Hendrick Hospice Care.
