Judy Creek age 85 of Abilene entered Heaven's gate on Friday October 11, 2024.

Abilene, TX. She was born on June 16th, 1939 to Bill & Joie (Doggett) Norwood at Sealy Hospital, Santa Anna, TX. Judy grew up in Coleman, TX And while attending Coleman High School, she met the love of her life, Paul Creek. Upon graduation in 1956 they were joined in marriage that lasted 59 yrs when Paul passed away on July 27th, 2016. They were blessed with Two children, Bradley Wayne and Lisa Lynne & three grandchildren.

Judy began her career in 1958 with Dun & Bradstreet, El Paso, TX, Paul's first A.F. base assignment until 1963 when she was later transferred to the Sacramento, Ca's office because of Paul's new A.F. assignment. In 1970 Paul was assigned to Biggs AFB, Austin, TX & Judy worked for Dairyland Auto Insurance as an Auto claims adjuster until 1973 when Paul received orders to report with Family to Keflavik, Iceland.

Iceland was one of the family's most memorable moves they will never forget & while there Judy worked for Civil Service at the Base Housing Unit. Upon leaving Keflavik in 1975 for the States, Judy still continued to visit her Icelandic Friends, Hrefna & Family, who befriended them while at stationed at Keflavik every 4 yrs. Judy has been a member of North Side Baptist Church since 1999 and also served on the Church's Decorating Committee, bus ministry & sang in the choir. Judy also host A group of 16 "Special Ladies" from North Side Baptist & these ladies were widows/divorces and they met each month at Judy's home for fellowship, dinner, devotion & games. Judy loved her "Special Ladies" & looked after their needs. Judy loved her family & friends around her intensely & was always there to help. Judy's philosophy was "as I reach out to others, God reached back to me." Judy with her 3 friends together always enjoyed planning a shopping spree within the Dallas Metroplex area every 4 months since year 2000 with the fellowship being priceless. Judy enjoyed studying her Bible and furthering her knowledge & relationship with the Lord, playing board games, playing with her poodle "Squirt", making her Zucchini Bread and she always had some in her freezer at all times to give to others.

Judy loved her family & cherished each and every one of her three grandchildren. Judy leaves behind her son, Bradley Wayne & wife, Teresa Creek & grandson, Joshua Creek of Grapevine, TX, a daughter, Lisa Lynne & husband, Tony Molina of Abilene & granddaughter, Amanda Molina, grandsons Joseph Lenzi & step grandson, Nathan Molina, a niece Amy Paquette & family and nephew Ed Adams & boys & many friends. Judy was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Paul, parents & one sister, Shirley Ann who died at birth.

Memorial service will be held at 2:00pm Saturday October 19, 2024 at North Side Baptist Church located at 2474 Westwood Dr, Abilene, Texas. 

Arrangements are by The Hamil Family Funeral Home 6440 Buffalo Gap Rd, Abilene, Texas
