Judith Pratt

Judith "Judie" T. Pratt of Abilene, Texas passed away on October 8, 2015. Visitation will be Sunday October 11, 2015 from 4:00 to 6:00 pm. at The Hamil Family Funeral Home, 6449 Buffalo Gap Road, Abilene. Funeral services will be held Monday October 12, 2015 at 2 P.M. at Lytle South Baptist Church with Rodney Watson officiating. Burial will follow at Elmwood Memorial Park. Judie was born April 6, 1943 in Amarillo, Texas to Henry E. and Dorotha C. Thomas. She grew up traveling around the world with her parents. Her father had served in the U.S. Air force for 30 years until his retirement. She was most fond of her trip to the Philippines Islands. She held various jobs and retired after working 14 years with Abilene Endoscopy Center.as a secretary receptionist. She was an avid lover of animals. She definitely had a green thumb and her yard showcased her ability. Judie was preceded in death by her parents Henry E. and Dorotha C. Thomas. Judie is survived by her three children; sons: Allen Rector and wife Pam of Abilene, Andrew Rector of Abilene, and Scott Rector of Abilene; two sisters: Paula Robertson of Hopewell, Virginia and Joan Armstrong of Abilene; three grandchildren: Shannon Rector of Abilene, Amanda Rector of Abilene, and Daniel Rector of Clyde, and her beloved grand dog Douglas; various nieces, nephews, and other family members and friends.
