Juanita Ruth Baber

Juanita Baber, 68, died Tuesday, March 28, 2006 in Abilene. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 pm on Friday, March 31, 2006 at The Hamil Family Funeral Home, 6449 Buffalo Gap Road. Memorial services will be at 10:00 am on Saturday at the funeral home, with Steve Thomas officiating. Juanita was born on April 19, 1937 in Eunice, Louisiana to Lawrence and Lilly (Sonnier) Lormand. She grew up in Eunice and graduated from Eunice High School. Juanita was a home health caregiver and a member of Hope Church of Christ. Juanita was preceded in death by both of her parents and one brother, Lawrence "Bubba" Lormand. She is survived by one son, John Evertt Kays, Jr. and his wife Diana of Spring, Texas; four daughters, Sheila Kays of Abilene, Andrea Renfree and her husband Ren, of Kingwood, Texas, Lauryl Kays, Patrice Lindsey and her husband Brad, all of Abilene; one sister, Patricia Ann Lormand of West Virginia; and seven grandchildren, Nick, Bryan, Erin, Caleb, Emilie, Sarah and Madison.
