Joyce Stills

Joyce Stills, age 70, passed on Monday, October 26, 2009 in Abilene, Texas. Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m. Friday, October 30, 2009 at Broadview Baptist Church with Rev. David Cason of Broadview Baptist Church officiating. Burial will follow at Elmwood Memorial Park directed by The Hamil Family Funeral Home, 6449 Buffalo Gap Road in Abilene. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Joyce was born in Goldthwaite, Texas to LeRoy and Myrl (Groves) Kimbrel on October 14, 1939. She married L. Duane Stills on January 25, 1957 in Carmi, Ill. She was the owner of Joyce Stills Realtors. Joyce was preceded in death by her husband, L. Duane Stills, and their son Bobi Stills. Joyce is survived by Taylor Stills of Abilene, Jodi Kidd of Abilene and Mike Stills of Austin, Texas. She has 5 grandsons, Tim Kidd, Jr., Brian Kidd, Troy Stills, Trey Stills and Kevin Stills. Her great-grandsons are Garet, Tyler and Cason Stills. She has many more 'adopted' children that she loved as her own. Pallbearers will be her 'adopted' sons, Gregg Clemmer, Phillip Crockett, Richard Farmer, Dane Farmer, Al Morris and Jordan Morris.
