Josiane Micomyiza Alexander, 25, of Abilene, passed away Sunday, November 18, 2018. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, November 24, 2018 at First Central Presbyterian Church. Burial will follow in Elmwood Memorial Park. Dr. Cliff Stewart and Dr. Janice Six will officiate. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 pm on Friday, November 23rd at The Hamil Family Funeral Home, 6449 Buffalo Gap Road.
Josiane was born September 8, 1993 in Rwanda to Joseph and Francoise Alexander.
She was a student at the University of North Texas and formerly at Abilene Christian University. She was a member of First Central Presbyterian Church in Abilene.
Josiane is survived by her parents, Joseph and Francoise Alexander; one brother, Laurent Alexander; and three sisters, Marie Josee Dufitumukiza, Green Joseline Alexander and Victoire Alexander.
Josiane is very beloved by everyone who knew her. She had a very rare beautiful soul that loved and valued everyone she encountered. She was a fighter for justice regardless of any possible consequences. Her life impacted so many people and will continue on. Her joy, vibrancy, and love of life will live on forever.
