Josh was born to James and Marsha Hill in Abilene on May 6th 1986. Josh is best known for his work and dedication to the Abilene Indoor Gun Range, where he took a small 5 lane shooting range and turned it into the multi-million dollar shooting complex that is today. He was a certified Glock armorer, NRA Pistol Instructor, and devoted member of the U.S.P.S.A and a Master Class Shooter, and as his dad said, “a hell of a Salesman”. The Lord received Joshua on May 27th, 2013. Josh’s hopes and dreams are carried on by his parents James and Marsha; his brother and sister-in-law Justin and Amanda; his two nieces and nephew Bailey, Gracie and Ethan; his sister Allison Nicole. He is also survived by his grandmother, Mary Frances Motes; grandfather, Charles W. Mcarrell; aunt Barbara Matthews; uncles Kevin and Mikael; uncle David Motes; aunt Melinda Rifenburg and numerous cousins.
His services will be held at 2:00pm Monday, June 3rd at Faith Baptist Church located at 2300 South 20th ST in Abilene. Pastor Shaun Chastain and Brother Steven W. Parker will lead the services and will be assisted by The Hamil Family Funeral Home. The family will receive friends and guests from 6 to 8 pm Sunday, June 2, at the Funeral Home located at 6449 Buffalo Gap Rd.
Honorary pallbearers will be Josh’s “other” family, the employees of the Abilene Indoor Gun Range.
