Joseph (Joe) Lee Bunton, 42, of Abilene, Texas, died Tuesday, November 27, 2018 in Abilene.
The son of Linda (Davis) Bunton and Don Bunton, Joe was born on November 25, 1976 in Knox City, Texas. He graduated from Munday High School in Munday, Texas in 1995, and attended Angelo State University in San Angelo, Texas and Midwestern State University in Wichita Falls, Texas. He loved being with family and friends and enjoyed fishing and golfing.
He was preceded in death by grandparents Geneva, Oscar and Opal Bunton, M.A. and Juanita Davis, uncle Jimmy White, aunt Luana Warden and cousin Chad Warden.
Joe is survived by his mother and father of Abilene, sister Cheryl and husband Luke Green of Lubbock, brother Mike Bunton and wife Kassie of Plains, TX, nephews Ty Houtchens of Lubbock, TX and Desi and niece Macy both of Plains, TX, special cousin and friend, Matt Bowen, 3 aunts, 3 uncles, numerous cousins, dear friends Cory and Carrie Lee & precious girls and friends Terrell Snead & Kenny Forehand.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be sent in Joe’s memory to Love and Care Ministries of Abilene, TX.
Graveside services will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, November 29, in Evergreen Cemetery in Ranger, Texas, under the direction of The Hamil Family Funeral Home, 6449 Buffalo Gap Road, Abilene.
