Jonathan Edward Hayes

Jonathan "Jon" Hayes, age 46, of Abilene, TX, passed away on June 26, 2018.

Visitation will be Friday June 29, 2018 from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. at Hillcrest Church of Christ.

Memorial service will be held Saturday June 30, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at Hillcrest Church of Christ. Services are under the direction of The Hamil Family Funeral Home, 6449 Buffalo Gap Road, Abilene.

Jon was born in Abilene, TX on September 11, 1971. His parents are Jerry and Kay Hayes of Abilene, TX. He spent his younger years growing up in Africa swimming and surfing in the ocean with his missionary parents. He returned to Abilene and went to Abilene High School. He attended Texas State Technical College in Abilene and graduated with an Associate of Applied Science in Drafting & Design Technology. Jon loved to fish, watch motocross, and spend time with his family.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Billie Hudson and maternal grandparents Clarence and Jodie Miller.

He is survived by his daughter, Brittny Lomax of Abilene (Ryan Lomax), grandsons Kason & Kade Lomax, 7 nieces, Ava, Gentry, Tatum & Collins Lamberth and Ella, Kate, & Tess Michael. Two sisters, Jere Lamberth of Fort Worth (Tye Lamberth) and Joella Michael of Agoura Hills, CA (Jacob Michael) and parents Jerry & Kay Hayes of Abilene, and many other friends and family.
