Jonathan Daniel, 37, of Sterling, Colorado passed away on December 19, 2017.
Memorial services will be held 11:00 AM Friday, December 22nd, at St. Paul United Methodist Church, 525 Beech Street, Abilene, Texas with Dr. Cliff Stewart and Dr. Janice Six officiating, directed by The Hamil Family Funeral Home, 6449 Buffalo Gap Road, Abilene.
Jonathan was born in New Port Beach, California to Judy and Steven Daniel on January 29, 1980. He graduated from Abilene High School and attended Ft Collins College in Durango, CO.
Jonathan, full of energy and ready for adventure, never met a stranger.
Jonathan discovered many happy places as he journeyed through his short life. He loved the traditional holiday Daniel family gatherings in Lubbock; he was a consummate outdoors man who enjoyed hunting, fishing, skiing, and rafting; he was a creative soul, very artistic, and truly loved making jewelry and pottery.
Jonathan was a heartbreaker. He had the ability to make you laugh and make you cry - sometimes in the same breath. Tender-hearted and always smiling, Jonathan was always ready to conquer the world.

Jonathan is survived by his father Steven, his brother Josh and sister-in-law Kara, their children Drew, Olivia and Ford. He is also survived by extended family and many friends. He was preceded in death by his mother, Judy Daniel.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to Heifer International, 1 World Avenue, Little Rock, AR 72202 or the Salvation Army, 1726 Butternut St., Abilene, TX 79602.
