Johnny E. Graham, 81, of Abilene, Texas passed away on Thursday, July 24, 2014 in Abilene. Visitation will be Saturday, July 26, 2014 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm at Hamil Family Funeral Home, 6449 Buffalo Gap Road, Abilene. A graveside service will be held at 11:00am, Monday, July 28, 2014 in Clyde Cemetery in Clyde, Texas with the Dr. Rodney Watson officiating, directed by The Hamil Family Funeral Home, 6449 Buffalo Gap Road, Abilene. Johnny was born in Roscoe, Texas to Johnny Edward and Jewel Graham on April 15, 1933. He went to school at Wylie High School. He was a veteran, having served in the US Army in the Korean War from 1953-1955. He received the Korean Service Metal, US Army Service Bar, National Defense Service Metal, and United Nations Service Metal. Johnny worked as a sales representative for Nabisco for 32 years. Johnny was preceded in death by his parents and his wife of 44 years, June Parkerson Graham. He married Shirley Oates on September 9, 2007 in Abilene, Texas. Johnny is survived by his wife Shirley Graham; sons Johnny S. Graham of Burleson, Eddie M. Graham and wife Donna of Grand Prairie; sister Judy Washington and husband Larry of Jackson, GA; step-daughter Beverly Dyer of Abilene and step-son Larry Winn of Midland; 13 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. The grandchildren will serve as pallbearers. The family would like to extend their thanks to Dr. Anton Melnyk and his staff for providing excellent care and compassion.
