Johnna Lee Self, 92, died Monday, June 29, 2015 in Abilene, Texas.

Graveside services will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, July 3, in Morton Memorial Cemetery in Morton, Texas officiated by Johnna’s nephew, Rev. Russell Nebhut. Local arrangements are by The Hamil Family Funeral Home, 6449 Buffalo Gap Road, Abilene.
Born in Cheyenne, Oklahoma on July 16, 1922, she was the daughter of Mary Jane (Chappell) and Harry Allen Nebhut. She married Ira Woodrow Self on December 24, 1939 in Morton, Texas, of which they were longtime residents. Johnna was a homemaker and they farmed before moving away to pursue other endeavors. Johnna was a former member of First United Methodist Church in Morton. In 2005 she moved from Lubbock to Abilene where she was a member of Wylie United Methodist Church.
Her husband of 51 years Woodrow Self, four brothers, and one sister preceded her in death.
Johnna is survived by three sons and their spouses, Woody and Nancy Self of Arlington, Reggie and Jean Self of Abilene, and Norman and Beverly Self of Princeton; eight grandchildren; and twelve great-grandchildren.
