John Lowell Tevebaugh, 47, of Abilene, died Tuesday, October 9, 2007 at a local medical center. Mass will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, October 12, 2007 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father Robert Bush officiating. Burial will follow in the Tye Cemetery, directed by Hamil Family Funeral Home, 6449 Buffalo Gap Road.
John was born June 18, 1960, in Stillwater, Oklahoma to Dennis and Shirley (Vidrine) Tevebaugh. He moved to Abilene in 1970, was a graduate of Cooper High School and a veteran in the U.S. Air Force. John was also a sculptor.
Survivors include his mother, Shirley Tevebaugh of Tye, Texas; grandmother, Thelma Kloss of La Junta, Colorado; two brothers, Troy Tevebaugh of Abilene and Owen K. Tevebaugh of Tye, Texas; a sister, Joni L. Baker and husband Charles of Auburndale, Florida; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.
John was preceded in death by his father, Dennis G. Tevebaugh.
A visitation will be from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. Thursday, October 11, 2007 at the Funeral Home.
