Joe Estes

Joe Fred Estes, 91, of Abilene, Texas passed away on November 19, 2016 in Abilene, Texas. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday November 21, 2016 at Hamil Family Funeral Home with Felicia Hopkins of St. Paul Methodist officiating. Burial will follow in Elmwood Memorial Park cemetery. Services are under the direction of The Hamil Family Funeral Home, 6449 Buffalo Gap Road. Joe was born in Rockwood, Tx. To Sam and Myrtle Estes on Feb.2, 1925. He graduated from Rockwood High School and attended Hardin Simmons University. He married Katheryn Loving on Feb. 14th., 1947 in Abilene. He worked as sales representative for American Greetings corp. for 32 years. He was a veteran of World War II and served in the Army. Joe survived by his wife Katheryn Estes, His son Steve Estes and Daughter-in law Ruth Estes, his brother Raymond and Estes, his grandsons Jonathan and Michael Estes. Pallbearers will be Jonathan Estes, Michael Estes, Gary Broyles, Don Bagwell, Kelly Estes and Jeff Estes. Memorials may be given to St. Paul Methodist Church and Meals on Wheels. Following the service, the family will be receiving family and loved ones at 1467 Tanglewood.
