Jimmye Sue Mosley, 69, of Abilene, went home to be with her Lord on Friday, January 2, 2009 at a local hospital. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, January 6, 2009 at Pioneer Drive Baptist Church. Rev. Robert Chambers, Rev. Stan Allcorn and Rev. Clydel Chapman will officiate. Burial will follow in the Garden of Memories Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday, January 5, 2009 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at The Hamil Family Funeral Home, 6449 Buffalo Gap Road. Jimmye was born May 31, 1939 to L.W. Davis and Frances (McClure) Davis. She married Jim Ray Mosley on November 9, 1954 in Old Mexico. Jimmye was a member of Second Baptist Church in Abilene. She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, Edythe Baxter and Donna Golden. Jimmye is survived by her husband, Jim Ray Mosley, of Abilene; one son, David Mosley and his wife Betsy, also of Abilene; two daughters, GayLynne Haigood and her husband Chuck, of North Pole, Alaska, Laurie Burton and her husband Bo, of Abilene; one sister, Jackye Kinnard and her husband Cotton, of Breckenridge, Texas; six grandchildren, Krysti and Kimberly Haigood, Lance and Kayla Mosley, Courtney Burton and Hannah Burton. Memorials may be made in honor of Jimmye Sue Mosley to Second Baptist Church, 901 Victoria, Abilene, Texas 79603 or to Pioneer Drive Baptist Church, 701 South Pioneer Drive, Abilene, Texas 79605.
