Jimmy Ray Youngquist, 78, passed away December 5, 2021 in Abilene. He was born on June 5, 1943 in Stamford to Roland and Laveta Youngquist.
Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, December 8 at 2:00 pm, at Spring Creek Cemetery in Avoca. Services are under the direction of The Hamil Family Funeral Home, 6449 Buffalo Gap Road.
Jimmy served on the Lueders School Board for eight years, and he also served for 18 years on the Lueders Volunteer Fire Department. He was a member of Hawley Church of Christ.
He was preceded in death by his father, Roland “Jimmy” Youngquist, and his wife, Jeannie Youngquist.
He is survived by his mother, Laveta Youngquist; son, Scott Youngquist and wife Victoria of Abilene, TX; daughter, Denise Scott and husband KC of Lipan, TX; sister, Shirley Graham of Purdon, TX; stepdaughters, Cindy Ford of Stamford, TX and Charlotte Vogler of Abilene, TX; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and other loving family members.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to your local church or foodbank.
