Jimmy David Paige, 57, of Abilene, died Friday, July 3, 2009, at Presbyterian Hospital in Dallas, Texas. Born in Coleman, Texas, on November 14, 1951, he was the son of Birdie (Walker) and Walter David Paige. He was a 1970 graduate of Abilene High School and served in the Army National Guard. Having worked for AEP for 37 years, Jimmy was business systems supervisor. Jimmy married Sandy Knight on July 3, 1972 in Abilene, Texas. He was a member of Wylie Baptist Church. He was an avid golfer and a member of the Abilene Country Club. His father preceded him in death. Jimmy is survived by his wife, Sandy Knight Paige of Abilene; daughter, JaeDee Paige of Dallas; mother, Birdie Walker Paige of Abilene; brother, John Hammond Paige of Friendswood, Texas; sister, Geneva Ann Paige of Abilene; and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 7, at Wylie Baptist Church with Rev. Lee Fuller officiating. Interment will follow in Elmwood Memorial Park directed by The Hamil Family Funeral Home, 6449 Buffalo Gap Road in Abilene. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral Home. Active and honorary pallbearers will be friends from AEP. Memorials may be made to Wylie Baptist Church, 6097 Buffalo Gap Road, Abilene, TX 79606.
