Jimmy Don Neill

Jimmy Don Neill, 74, of Abilene, passed away Thursday, June 3, 2021.

Jim was born in Abilene, Texas to William C. and Agnes Varner Neill on August 15, 1946. He went to school in Abilene, TX and attended college at Abilene Christian University.  Jim work in the oil field as mainly a Mud Engineer and spent most of his days on oil rigs around the globe.

Jim Neill was preceded in death by his parents, William C. and Agnes Varner Neill, and his brother, Billy Earl Neill.

Jim Neill is survived by his daughter, Jennifer Jones of Odessa, TX; his daughter, Debra Lester and son-in-law, David Lester of Clovis, NM; his daughter, Melissa Johnson of Odessa, TX; his son, Josh Neill and daughter-in-law Katelyn Neill of Abilene, TX; his granddaughter, Peyton Cambron of New Braunfels, TX; his grandson, Landon Cambron of Clovis, NM; and his grandson, Haven Jones of Odessa, TX.

Graveside Services will be held at 2:00 pm on Thursday, June 10, 2021 at Elmwood Memorial Park, 5750 US Hwy 277 South.

Services are under the direction of The Hamil Family Funeral Home, 6449 Buffalo Gap Road.
