Jimmy Allen Everett, August 26, 1944 – January 21, 2024
On Sunday, January 21, 2024, Jim passed away peacefully, after his battle with dementia and Parkinson’s disease. Jim was a man of talent in his time and had to work hard at a young age to help care for his younger brothers. He met the love of his life, his late wife, Linda Lee White in Abilene. They were married on November 4, 1974, and eventually moved to San Antonio, Texas where they lived and worked until their retirement, and moved to Bandera, TX. Together, they were active members of Walker Memorial Baptist Church, in Bandera, until Jim’s illness sadly progressed. Jim was artistic and gifted at many things, including working on motorcycles, cars, construction, playing the guitar and piano, and was very detailed in all his unique handiwork.
Jim was born to parents William Jefferson Everett and Johnnie Annah (Williams) Everett on August 26, 1944 in Big Spring, Texas.
Jim is survived by his brother Jeff Pannell (wife Gayle), his son, Jimmy Everett (wife Joanna), son Wesley Steel (wife Pamela), and daughters Debra Ward (husband Monty) and Amber Villarreal, and 16 grandchildren - Mathew Baker, Britni Rinehart, Monty Wayne Ward, Colten Steel, Carter Steel, Kori Steel, Lorenda Villarreal, Ashlee Villarreal, Treyse Everett, Jimmy Neel Everett, Jesse Everett, Joey Everett, Jenna Everett, Jacob Everett, Julia Everett, Jamie Lynn Everett, and 9 great grandchildren - Audrey Ashcraft, Paige Steel, Chance Steel, Charlotte Steel, Creed Steel, Shadow Engelskirch, Kyden Baker, Greysen Cupid, and Monty Ray Ward.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, January 26, 2024 at Abilene Municipal Cemetery-Cedar Hill. Services are under the direction of The Hamil Family Funeral Home, 6449 Buffalo Gap Rd.
