Jimmie Sue Martin Jimmie Sue Martin passed away Wednesday February 12, 2014 in Abilene, Texas. Graveside services will be held Monday, February 17 at 3:30pm in Elmwood Memorial Park in the Mausoleum Garden with Dr. Jeff Reid officiating, directed by The Hamil Family Funeral Home, 6449 Buffalo Gap Road in Abilene. She was born August 29, 1933 in Sweetwater, Texas to Boyce and Sue Lynn. She graduated from Sweetwater High School. She married Harold Martin in 1950. She went to work for Texas Electric and then continued her career working for numerous drilling companies. She retired from Hendrick Medical Center in 1995. Sue loved to fish and was a former member of several area bass clubs. She was a past president of Abilene Desk and Derrick Club. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and one sister Grace Ann Tirpitz. Survivors include two sons, Fredy Martin of Ralls, TX, Ty Martin and wife Tracy of Abilene; 2 daughters, Debora Horton and husband Wayne of Abilene, Suzette McIntyre and husband Dean of San Angelo; 6 Grandchildren, Courtney Reynolds, Megan Coston, Jessy Horton and wife Missy, Miranda Horton, Derek McIntyre and wife Brett, and Reid McIntyre; 5 Great-grandchildren, Trinity, Logan, Addison, Kamron, Hudson, Christopher, Colton, and Austin; and sister-in-law Rebecca Martin. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the charity of your choice.
