Jeanne Trammell, 82, of Abilene, passed away on June 14th, 2016.
Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Friday, June 17th at Hamil Family Funeral Home at 6449 Buffalo Gap Road in Abilene.
Funeral services will be held at 2pm on June 18th at Pioneer Drive Baptist Church with Pastor Stan Allcorn officiating. Burial will follow at Elmwood Memorial Park. Services are under the direction of The Hamil Family Funeral Home, 6449 Buffalo Gap Road.
Jeanne was born in Vernon, Texas to EJ Stewart and Lois Crawford Stewart on March 22, 1934. She went to school in Vernon, Texas. She graduated from Vernon High and earned her Nursing Degree from Angelo State University in 1978. She married Richard Marvin Trammell in 1950 in Henrietta, GA. She worked as a Nurse for Hendrick Hospice Care for 37 years, Dr. Wolf for 10 years and was most recently Director of Nursing for HomePlace Manor Healthcare Center in Hamlin. She was an active senior member of Pioneer Drive Baptist Church and enjoyed serving on international medical as well as church missions.
Jeanne was preceded in death by her husband Richard, father EJ, mother Lois and brother Kenneth.
Jeanne is survived by children Richard Jr, Larry, Gaye and John & Debbie Trammell; grandchildren Wendy, Michael, Rick, Lauren, Brandon, Matt, Courtney and Kelly; and great-grandchildren Brittany, Harrison, Gage, Trey, Wyatt & Jackson.
Pallbearers will be Brandon & Matt Trammell, Darren Clinton, Michael Trammell, Clint Burgess and Greg Beasley.
Memorials may be provided to Hendrick Hospice Care.
