Jess Flores Garcia

Reverend Jess F. Garcia, 81, of Abilene, TX, passed away on November 21, 2017 in Plano, TX. A committal service will be held at 2:00 pm, Monday, November 27, 2017 at the Texas State Veterans Cemetery at Abilene, with Don Greenway of Northside Baptist Church officiating. Services are under the direction of The Hamil Family Funeral Home, 6449 Buffalo Gap Road. Jess was born Timnath, CO to Cresensio and Lucy Garcia on December 25th, 1935. He married Norma Christine Berkley on November 20th, 1998 in Abilene, TX. He retired from TXU. Jess was a veteran and served in the Air Force. Jess was preceded in death by Cresensio and Lucy Garcia along with many others. Jess is survived by Norma Christine Berkley Garcia, Jess Garcia, Jr., Jan Garcia Seguin (Raymond), James Garcia, Jena Garcia Avalos (Cisco), June Garcia Almaguer, Jr. (Joe), Joseph Garcia, Jennifer Garcia; 18 grandchildren and over 30 great grandchildren. Pallbearers will be James Garcia, Cisco Avalos, Raymond Seguin, Patricio Gonzales, Jr, Daniel Seguin, BJ Rodriquez.
