Jerry Wayne McBride, 65, of Abilene, died Monday, May 18 2009, in Frisco, Texas.
Jerry Wayne McBride was born in 1944 in a small mountain town of Cumberland, Maryland. He joined the US Air Force. He met his wife Carol Louise and said 'Marry me and I will take you to Puerto Rico'. They began and ended their life together at Dyess AFB, Abilene, Tx. It has been a trip around the world since. Jerry has helped raise a family, travelled the world and camped in his own backyard in his life-time. He retired from the US Air Force in 1989 from Bergstrom AFB, Austin, TX. He was a wonderfully giving and ever-entertaining husband, father, grandfather, uncle, brother, in-law, and friend.
Throughout his career, Jerry was fearless and willing to do whatever was asked of him. He would go anywhere his country called him to be. His biggest enjoyment was his immediate family and those extended to him through his military career that he always made room for during the holidays.
