Jerry Allan Lane, 38, died Monday, April 30, 2007 at a local hospital. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 3 at Champions Church with Richard Humphries and Mark Rector officiating. The family will receive friends from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. prior to the funeral service. Services are under the direction of The Hamil Family Funeral Home, 6449 Buffalo Gap Road. Burial will be on Saturday, May 5 at Resthaven Cemetery in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Jerry was born on March 12, 1969 in Cleburne, Texas to Andy Lane and Linda (Butler) Lane. He graduated from Yukon High School in Yukon, Oklahoma and attended Messenger College in Joplin, Missouri. June 15, 1991, Jerry married Cynthia Willis in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. They have made Abilene their home for past nine years after moving from Yukon, Oklahoma. Jerry was an ordained minister for the Pentecostal Church of God. He was a member of Champions Church in Abilene. Preceding Jerry in death were his grandparents, Essie Martin and Clyde Butler and Lillie Mae Lane and Charles Lane. He is survived by his parents, Andy and Linda Lane of Yukon, Oklahoma; his wife, Cynthia Lane and two daughters, Jordyn and Danaiza Lane, of Abilene; two sisters, Tina Dawson of Piedmont, Oklahoma and Michelle Fuentes of Yukon, Oklahoma. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
