Jerry Wayne Hallford Jerry Wayne Hallford, 60, of Abilene, died Monday, April 5, 2010 at a local hospital. Funeral services, with Rev. David Cason officiating, will be held at 2:00 pm on Thursday, April 8, 2010 in the chapel at The Hamil Family Funeral Home, 6449 Buffalo Gap Road. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 pm on Wednesday at the funeral home. August 25, 1949, Jerry was born in Andrews, Texas to Gerald Moody Hallford and Billie Lawanda (Anderson) Hallford. He lived most of his life in Abilene. Jerry was the former owner of Caribbean Pools and Spas and had worked for Atlantis Pools for the past several years until his death. Jerry married Denise Watson in 1970. They were married for 24 years and had two children, Shawnette and Cody. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Sandra Gail Hallford. Jerry is survived by his two children, Shawnette Martinez and Cody Hallford, and their mother, Denise Hallford, all of Abilene; son-in-law Jeffrey Martinez, of Abilene; two brothers, Gordy Hallford of Abilene and Bill Ray Roberts of Buffalo Gap; one sister, Regina Roberts, of Abilene; four grandchildren, Savannah and Drake Howard, Madison Hallford and Caden Martinez, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Jerry was a wonderful father and PaPa and will be missed dearly.
