Jerry Dean Dennis

Jerry Dean Dennis, of Abilene, died Tuesday, June 3, 2008 at the age of 51. Graveside services will be at10:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 7, 2008 at the Tye Cemetery, with Brother Mike Jones officiating. Services are under the direction of The Hamil Family Funeral Home, 6449 Buffalo Gap Road. Jerry was born October 13, 1956 in Abilene, Texas to James Donald Dennis and Tommie Jean (Royston) Dennis. He graduated from Cooper High School. Jerry worked for Mrs. Baird's Bakery for 28 years. He worked at the pie plant and was the manager of the "Day Old" store for the bakery. Abilene was Jerry's home for his entire life. He was a member of Faith Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his mother, one sister, Donna Jean Dennis, and his grandparents. Jerry is survived by his father, James Dennis and his wife Betty, of Abilene; one brother, James Randall "Randy" Dennis and his wife Linda, also of Abilene; one half sister, Linda Black and her husband Don, of Arizona, and several nieces and nephews.
