Jerry Wayne Beaty

1952 — October 5, 2017

Jerry Wayne Beaty, 65, of Abilene, Texas passed into eternity on October 5, 2017.

Memorial services will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, October 14, 2017, at Beltway South Chapel.

Jerry was born in Clarksville, TX to Joe and Juanita Beaty on August 10, 1952. At an early age, Jerry trusted Christ for his salvation, and he was baptized at his church. He graduated from Lamesa High School in 1970. He married Lee Puckett on July 11, 1975. They lived in Lamesa for 34 years, where they raised 2 children, Levi and Jade. Following in his father's footsteps, he remodeled and built many homes in the Lamesa area. In 1986 he completed their family home, where they lived until 2009, at which time he and Lee moved to Abilene. He then began working as a construction inspector for Jacob & Martin.

Jerry was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife Lee, brother Joe of Lamesa, sister Anita Kearney of Lamesa, son Levi of Dallas, daughter Jade and her husband Kyle Pierce of Temple, and 3 precious grandchildren-Gemma (8), River (4) and his namesake, Wilder Jeremiah (1).

He loved his family, gave generously to anyone he met, and always enjoyed his wife's pecan pie. Jerry will be greatly missed by his family and his many friends, and we look forward to the day when we will see him again.

Memorials may be made to the donor's favorite charity.
