Jeffrey Glenn Brown, 56, of Abilene, passed away on Wednesday, August 6, 2014 at his home in Abilene, Texas.
Visitation will be 5:00 – 7:00, Friday, August 8 at The Hamil Family Funeral Home, 6449 Buffalo Gap Road in Abilene. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 Saturday, August 9 at The Hamil Family Funeral Home with Larry Tarver of Clearfork Baptist Church in Hawley officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery in Merkel.
Jeff was born in Merkel to Glenn and Sue Brown on April 12, 1958. He went to school in AISD and graduated from Abilene High School in 1976. He married his high school sweetheart, Debbie Benningfield, on June 18, 1976 in Abilene. He was a master electrician. He enjoyed fishing and hunting. He loved spending time holding his twin grandsons and playing video games with his two granddaughters.
Jeff was preceded in death by his grandparents Julia Lawson, Rex McLean, Willard and Mae Brown.
Jeff is survived by his wife of 38 years, Debbie Brown, his daughter Shanah Jones and husband Brandon, daughter Casey Brown, his brothers Todd Brown and Rickey Brown and wife Cindy, his parents Glenn and Sue Brown, and his nephews Cody and Reese Brown, all of Abilene. He is also survived by his uncle and aunt, Jackie and Sue Brown of Arlington, cousins Farley Brown and Donna Kent also of Arlington, and longtime family friend JD Goetz. The light of his life was his grandchildren Paris, Alexa, Brayden, and Kayden Jones.
