Jeanette Elizabeth Ferguson Younts Diesing Jeanette Diesing, 86, died Friday in a local hospital. A Memorial service, with Reverend Tommy Needham officiating, will be held Tuesday, April 17 at 4:00 p.m. at The Windsor, 401 Pine St, Abilene, TX. Jeanette was born in Chicago, Illinois on April 19, 1920 to James Richard and Rose Elizabeth Wolff Ferguson. She attended secretarial school after graduating in Downers Grove, Illinois from Downers Grove High School in 1938. Jeanette moved to Abilene from St. Petersburg, Florida in 1995. She was a member of the First Congregational Church in Downers Grove, Illinois and the First United Methodist Church in St. Petersburg and in Abilene. Jeanette gave of her time as a volunteer for many organizations including the March of Dimes, Easter Seal Guild and the Hinsdale Hospital. She was a member of the Naperville Country Club and the St. Petersburg Yacht Club. Jeanette was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, George Robert Younts; her second husband, Walter Arthur Diesing and her sister, Rose Mae. She is survived by two daughters; Linda Younts Bolas and husband Robert of Naperville, Illinois and Karen Younts Schubert of Abilene; one brother James Richard Ferguson, Jr. and wife Helen of Naperville, Illinois. She is also survived by three grandchildren; Jeffery George Bolas and wife Annie; Erin Schubert Needham and husband Gary; and Megan Elizabeth Schubert; two great-grandchildren; Kate Elizabeth Needham and Eleanor VanIngen Bolas; and 4 nephews.
