Jean M. Wilson, 66, moved from this earth to her eternal Home in heaven on January 14, 2014.
Jean was born in Salzburg, Austria on March 28, 1947 to William and Adele Frank. She was raised in El Paso, Texas and graduated valedictorian of Parkland High School. She received a bachelor’s degree in mathematics from the University of Texas Austin, where she was a member of the Phi Kappa Phi and Phi Beta Kappa honors society. Jean was a Math teacher in Austin and Bastrop Texas for 25 years. She retired to Montana where she loved the outdoors, especially fly fishing.
Three years ago, Jean moved to Abilene from Columbus, Montana, where she was chairperson of the Missions Committee at Community Congregation Church and president of the Women’s Fellowship. In Abilene she was a member of Pioneer Drive Baptist Church. Jean was active in her church and a strong supporter and participant for "Relay for Life".
Her parents, William and Adele Frank, preceded Jean in death.
Jean is survived by her husband, Bill Wilson; son, Robert Deike of Austin, Texas; daughter and husband, Genienne and Ronny Koehn of Abilene, Texas; grandson, Carson Koehn of Abilene; and brother, William "Butch" Frank and wife Maureen of Parker Colorado.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 18, at Pioneer Drive Baptist Church directed by The Hamil Family Funeral Home, 6449 Buffalo Gap Road in Abilene.
