Jean Stockton

Jean Collett Stockton, 83, died peacefully on December 20, 2018 in Abilene, Texas. 

Born on March 29, 1935 in Abilene, Texas.   Jean graduated from Texas Tech University with a degree in Home Economics in 1957.  She married Harold Stockton in 1956 in Abilene Texas. 

Jean was a very giving person who helped others through her donations to Texas Tech.   She also will be remembered for her care family members during their times of need.

Jean is preceded in death by her parents Thelma and Luther Collett, her brother Travis Collett and her husband Hal Stockton.   She is survived by her son Bryan Stockton and his wife Elba, Elba’s daughter Lyssel; Elba’s son Lysis and his wife Oriana; Elba’s youngest son Luis and his wife Angela.    Her nephew Dick Andrews and his family, niece Marianne Wood and family, and niece Jane Hutchens and her family. 

The family wishes to thank the staff at Lyndale Abilene, Hendrick Hospice Care.

Donations may be made to the Texas Tech University School of nursing in Abilene Texas, and Hendrick Hospice Care.
