Javier Montez Landeros

Javier Landeros, 75, a longtime resident of Buffalo Gap, Texas, passed away on Tuesday, Dec. 07, 2021 in his home.

Javier was born in Zacatecas, Mexico on Dec. 15, 1945 to Lazaro Landeros and Juana Quinones. He married Evelyn Landeros in April 1971 in Rawlins, Wyoming. He was a great mason and spent the rest of his career at US Coach in Buffalo Gap, Texas. He loved his three dogs and especially his lottery tickets.

Javier was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers.

Javier Landeros is survived by three sons and spouses including: Jeronimo Landeros and wife Doris of Buffalo Gap, Javier Landeros Jr and wife Linda of Buffalo Gap, Joel Espinoza and wife Vivi of Odessa. Daughters include Maria Gallegos and husband Aniceto of Nacogdoches, Veronica Martinez and husband Jorge of Grand Prairie, and Maxine Martinez of Ohio. Two brothers Enrique Landeros and wife Sylvia of Robert Lee, Juan Landeros and wife Blanca of Nacogdoches. Two sisters Celia Diaz and husband Lalo of Zacatecas, Maria Hernandez of Zacatecas.

Javier will be greatly missed by all his family.

Visitation will be 6 to 8pm, Friday, Dec. 10 at The Hamil Family Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2pm, Dec. 11 at The Hamil Family Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Chuck Gilliand of First Baptist Church Buffalo Gap, officiating. Burial will follow at Buffalo Gap Cemetery where he will be laid to rest next to his wife. Services are under the direction of The Hamil Family Funeral, 6449 Buffalo Gap Road.

Serving as pallbearers will be Tyler Landeros, Tye Landeros, Jorge Parra and Jesus Martinez, Albert Mendoza and Joel Espinoza
