Jason St John, 29, died Monday, February 1, 2010, at an Abilene medical center.
Born in Portland, Oregon on November 1, 1980, Jason moved in 1987 to the Abilene area, where he graduated from Clyde High School. He loved working on anything mechanical or electrical, especially cars. He attended Arizona Automotive Institute, and worked many years in Abilene as an ASE Certified Master Technician. He later became an insurance adjuster in crop insurance and worked for Armtech Insurance in Lubbock. Jason was a strong believer in Christ, sharing his faith with everyone he knew. He was an avid golfer, and a longtime friend of Bill W.
Jason is survived by his wife, Kaci Clemmer St John of Abilene; mother, Priscilla Farmer and Ray, of Abilene; father, Jim St John and Caren, of DeRidder, Louisiana; sister, Jessica St John Floyd and Derek, of Baird; and twin nephews, Jake and Jack Floyd. Survivors also include grandparents, Joyce and Edward Cutler of Windsor, Connecticut, Von and Anna Beth Farmer of Clyde, and John L. St John of Woodburn, Oregon; and great-grandmother, Gotha Adele Nordberg of Simsbury, Connecticut.
A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Friday, February 5, at Beltway Park, 4009 Beltway South, with Pastor Mike Hill officiating, directed by The Hamil Family Funeral Home, 6449 Buffalo Gap Road in Abilene. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
