Jan Brady St John (the woman previously known as Frieda Jan) was born in 1944 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana; it was a Saturday, 15 January. She was married on Saturday, 17 February 1968, and on Saturday, 25 March 2023 she went home to her lord and savior surrounded by her loved ones. Keeping with the theme, we will celebrate her life on Saturday, 27 May 2023, at 2:00 pm.
The daughter of Tullie and Thadlie Brady, she graduated from Clinton High School in 1962 and New Mexico State University in 1967. Married to Donald St. John, she and Don raised three boys while crisscrossing the country, finally settling in Texas. Along the way she found time to teach and administer at Southside High School in San Antonio Texas, a much loved and adored teacher her students to this day share fond memories of their time with her. She was instrumental in cofounding the Agape Food Ministry, providing vital food assistance and love on the Northeast side of San Antonio.
A loving daughter, sister, friend, wife, and mother, and a devoted grandmother, and great grandmother Jan would give you the shirt off her back, but not her sunglasses. The woman she was, the woman she wanted to be, and all the in between, Jan St. John left her mark on everyone she ever met and the world is a better place for her life.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Tullie and Thadlie Brady, and her brothers Glenn Brady and Don Brady.
She is survived by her twin sister Ann Brady Holland, her husband Donald St. John, her sons and their wives, Andrew St. John and Tonya Lowery St. John, Mathew and Julie St John, and Aaron and Jackie St. John, 14 grandchildren, and 2 great grandchildren.
