James Michael Edwards

James Michael Edwards, 22, passed away Sunday, November 4, 2007. Funeral services will be at 10:00 am on Wednesday, November 7, at Broadview Baptist Church, with Rev. David Cason officiating, assisted by Randy Packwood. Burial will follow in the Garden of Memories Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 pm today, Tuesday, November 6, at The Hamil Family Funeral Home, 6449 Buffalo Gap Road. James was born September 24, 1985 in San Antonio, Texas to Michael Wayne Edwards and Carol Diane (Placker) Edwards. James and his family moved to Abilene from San Antonio when he was in the first grade. He graduated from Cooper High School in 2004. James was employed by the City of Abilene as an Equipment Operator in the Street Maintenance Department. He enjoyed working and was an extremely hard worker. James also did some work at the Taylor County Coliseum. His passions were hunting and fishing. He loved the outdoors and sports. James was a member of Broadview Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Euell Edwards. James is survived by his parents, Mike and Carol Edwards, of Abilene; his brother and sister, Joshua and Amy Edwards, of Abilene; his maternal grandparents, Bill and JoAnn Placker, of Mason, Texas; his paternal grandmother, Myrtle Edwards, of Kyle, Texas; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
