While with Allstate Insurance, he was owner of Deberry Agency and received the National Champions Sales Award and won Honor Ring Award several times during his career. Jim was preceded in death by his wife, Deborah Zanchettin DeBerry, his son, Brent DeBerry, his father Kenneth DeBerry, one nephew, Tyler DeBerry, and his grandparents Herb and Linda Janzen. He is survived by his daughter Kendra DeBerry-Goetz of Fort Worth and her husband Terry. One granddaughter, Brynli Goetz, his mother, Marian DeBerry of Abilene, his sister Sandra Casimir of Midland and her husband John, his brother Tom DeBerry of Boerne and his wife Kathy, his mother-in-law, Betty Zanchettin of Amarillo, nieces and nephews, Jana, Jessie, Jamie, Travis and Tanner.
